Discover emerging and mid-career artists at Root Gallery
Root Gallery, founded in 2018 by Yvonne de Jong, has grown into a dynamic and forward-thinking gallery representing a new generation of contemporary artists. Working across various disciplines, our artists are known for their distinct artistic signatures and hybrid practices, creating works that merge material exploration, composition, and conceptual depth.
Previously recognized for its large-scale exhibitions, Root Gallery has recently relocated to a historic early 1900s dike building, now thoughtfully renovated into a sustainable contemporary art space. The building retains its historic character while integrating modern design elements, offering a unique setting for experiencing art.
Our represented artists, including Donald Schenkel, Vera Klaus, Sophie de Vos, Noah Arends, Quinda Verheul, Saïd Kinos, Lisette Schumacher, Freerk Wilbers, Jochem Esser, and Karen van de Vliet, create paintings, sculptures, mixed-media works, and installations that push the boundaries of their respective mediums.
Explore their works in our gallery, on our website, at leading art fairs, and across our social media platforms. Looking for guidance? We are happy to provide tailored advice to help you find the right piece.
