Shipping Domestic

Within The Netherlands and Belgium we ship/deliver artworks free of charge. Please note that for personal deliveries to Amsterdam (postal codes 1011, 1012, 1015, 1016, 1017 and 1018) and the Waddden Islands we charge a €30 fee. By request, we can install the artwork in your home or office. If you want to sleep on it, you can take an artwork in option. If you choose the artwork to be shipped, we'll transport it within a maximum of 2 weeks. If you choose the artwork to be brought to your home of office, we'll send you an email to make an appointment as soon as possible. 

Returns

You have 14 days to start a refund process. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will notify you when your refund has been initiated. Shipping costs will not be refunded for items returned. If you are approved a credit will automatically be applied to your account, within a certain amount of days.

Damaged artwork

If an artwork arrives damaged please contact us within 14 days since the receipt of the artwork. Please photograph the outer packaging, including detail shots of the damage, and the damage to the work itself, and send the photos to contact@root.gallery along with your name and address. We will then organize a return.

Circumstances beyond one’s control

Circumstances beyond one’s control shall mean any circumstance beyond our control such that compliance with the agreement can not reasonably be demanded of us (not attributable shortcomings in compliance). Force majeure includes: war, unrest and hostilities of any nature whatsoever, blockades, boycotts, natural disasters, epidemics, lack of resources, prevention and disruption of transportation facilities, disruptions in our business, import and export restrictions or prohibitions, causes barriers by measures, laws or decisions of international, national and regional (government) bodies. If by the circumstances beyond ours control our delivery obligation is not, can not comply properly or fails, we are entitled to the contract or the unfulfilled portion as dissolved or for a definite or indefinite time to suspend, at our discretion. In case of circumstances beyond ours control, you can’t sue for damages.
