Celebrating Noah Arends at XBank
Celebrating Noah Arends at XBank with art, fashion, and conversation.
An evening to experience Noah Arends’ work up close.
For the past months, a selection of works by Noah Arends has been on view at XBank Amsterdam, adding her distinctive layered compositions to this dynamic space. To celebrate this collaboration and bring it to a close, we are hosting a gathering on April 10 at XBank, Spuistraat 172, Amsterdam. Join us from 17:00 to 19:00 for drinks, conversation, and a chance to experience Noah’s work up close.
About Noah Arends
Noah Arends is a visual artist whose work balances stylish monumental objects with playful, characteristic images. At the core of her practice lies collage, her process begins with collecting and manipulating fashion photography, transforming these images into layered, textile-based artworks. Through digital editing and printing on fabric, she gives new form to fashion imagery, stripping it of its commercial identity and redefining it as an expressive material within her compositions.
By stretching these printed textiles over frames or wooden sculptures, Noah creates striking, three-dimensional works that invite closer inspection. Colour, texture, and structure play a crucial role in her process, resulting in vibrant pieces that challenge perception and engage the viewer on multiple levels.
Why XBank?
XBank is a concept store that brings together Dutch art, fashion, and design, making it the perfect setting for Noah Arends’ work. Just as Noah repurposes fashion imagery in her layered compositions, XBank showcases both high-end brands like Viktor & Rolf and emerging designers such as 1/OFF and Atelier Reservé, creating a dialogue between established and new talent.
Located in the historic Kas Bank building, just a short walk from Amsterdam Central Station, XBank has become a hub for creative expression. With its focus on contemporary design and craftsmanship, it offers an ideal backdrop for Noah’s exploration of materiality and transformation.
