Gallery Night 

On February 11, during the Rotterdam Art Week, Root Gallery will be open from 19.00 PM to 22.00 PM as part of the Gallery Night Rotterdam.

This evening, many galleries in Rotterdam open their doors to the public. It is a nice opportunity to stop by known, or unknown art locations, to connect with art enthusiasts and to enjoy new artworks.

Museumnacht010

On March 4, Root Gallery will take part in the Museumnacht010 from 20.00 PM to 01.00 AM.

This night you can view performances, exhibitions, art, design and theater plays in cultural institutions all over Rotterdam. 

On view at Root Gallery during both evenings is the group show.  Spectators can wander through the exhibition space and admire the artworks of all of Root’s represented artists. 

The group show shines light on the newest developments within the practices of all of Root’s represented artists. The exhibition includes new work by Freerk Wilbers, new sculptural work by Donald Schenkel, Quinda Verheul and Jochem Esser, a new series of photographs by Sophie de Vos, and the results of in depth research into materials, pigments and visual language leading to beautiful translations of previously developed works by Jan Kuhlemeier, Lisette Schumacher, Saïd Kinos and Karen van de Vliet. The artists all have a unique signature style. Yet, they complement each other well.
