Co/Lab at Torrance Art Museum

We’re happy to announce our collaboration with the Torrance Art Museum (TAM) and Tiger Strikes Astroid LA. On the 30th of March we’ll open an exhibition with all artists represented by the gallery.

TAM presents CO/LAB 4, an international, collaborative project which presents eight artist-run galleries and collectives from Los Angeles partnering with eight artist-run spaces from Rotterdam. Sixteen organizations combine their ingenuity to design eight unique curatorial projects.

The opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 30th from 6 pm – 9 pm. Guus Vreeberg, co-owner of HET PLAFOND, will deliver a special presentation on the cultural climate of Rotterdam and introduce the 8 participating spaces from the Netherlands on Saturday, March 30th at 3:30pm.

The Museum encourages all people to develop and increase their understanding and appreciation for modern and contemporary artwork via a variety of exhibitions offered in its two gallery spaces, as well as educational programs, artist talks, lectures, and symposia. Through its emphasis on contemporary artistic expression in Southern California and globally, the Torrance Art Museum brings together visual artists and community members; fosters personal and civic well being by inspiring understanding and appreciation of the visual arts; promotes meaningful experiences in the arts to strengthen creative and critical thinking skills; and builds bridges between the visual arts and other disciplines in the humanities and sciences.
